Ich war letztens mit Miss M. bei McDonalds. Neben leckerem (und ja auch ungesundem) Essen haben wir auch 1€ für einen guten Zweck gespendet und Miss M. hat mit Begeisterung den Hand-Sticker an der Filial-Tür angebracht.

Miss M. and I were at McDonalds the other day. Besides yummy (and yes, unhealthy) food we also spend 1€ for a good cause. Miss M. enjoyed putting the sticker on the McDonalds door.

Photo Friday: Einfaches & schnelles Kinder Essen / Quick & Easy Children's meal

Miss M. ist die schlechteste Esserin der Welt - ich weiß, dass behaupten viele Eltern von ihren Kindern, aber in meinem Fall stimmt es ausnahmsweise ;-)
Überhaupt etwas Warmes in sie hineinzubekommen ist schon schwierig - Gemüse und Fleisch fast unmöglich...aber eine Sache ist bei so kleinen, süßen Trotzköpfen wichtig: niemals aufgeben.
Aber nicht immer hat man als Elternteil Lust stundenlang in der Küche zu stehen, nur um das Essen dann um die Ohren gehauen zu bekommen.
Ein einfaches, schnelles und (in den meisten Fällen) kinderfreundliches Gericht ist Nudeln mit Tomatensoße.
In meiner Version habe ich noch Cherry-Tomaten & Thunfisch mit in die Soße gegeben...also mir hat es geschmeckt...Miss M....naja....

Miss M is the fuzziest eater in the world - I know most parents say that about their children but in my case it is actually true.
Getting something warm inside her is very hard - vegetables and meat is almost impossible. But it's important to never give up.
But to be honest: preparing a nice meal for hours only to have it thrown back at you, can be quite frustrating.
A simple, quick and (in most cases) child-freindly meal is noodles with tomato sauce.
I pimped my version with cherry tomatoes and tuna...I really enjoyed it...Miss M...well...

Photo Friday: Forever 21

Hier in München hat vor Kurzen der lang ersehnte "Forever 21" eröffnet. Ich bin eher aus nostalgischen Gründen hin...als ich vor 10 Jahren meine Tour durch die USA gemacht habe (ganz alleine von New York nach LA) war ich von "Forever 21" und deren Klamotten und Accessoires begeistert. Heute musste ich dann aber fest stellen, dass der Großteil der Sachen wirklich was für Leute ist, die 10 Jahre jünger sind als ich ;-)
Aber Spaß hat es trotzdem gemacht und zwei Teile hab ich dann doch mitgenommen ;-)

A short while ago "Forever 21" finally opened a store in Munich. I went their due to memories of my USA-Tour that I did 10 years ago (from New York to LA all by myself). I remember loving all the clothes from "Forever 21" back then. When I went their today I realized that most of their stuff really is for people who are 10 years younger than me ;-)
But it was fun anyway and I did buy two items in the end ;-)

Photo Friday: Starbucks - YAH or NAY?

Ich persönlich bin ja großer Starbucks-Fan, aber ich kenne einige Leute, die der Kaffee-Kette kritisch gegenüber stehen. Ich mag den Kaffee...ja, genau den fettreduzierten-Kürbis-Latte-mit-Sahne-und-extra-Schuss-Espresso...mal ehrlich schwarzer Kaffee, kann ja jeder...außerdem finde ich es einfach gemütlich und unterhaltsam im Starbucks (oder jedem anderem Café mit Internetzugang) zu sitzen, etwas zu bloggen und dabei Leute zu beobachten...jedem das seine ;-)

I personally am a huge Starbucks-Fan but I know a lot of people who criticize the coffee-franchise. I like their coffee...yes, the low-fat-pumpkin-flavoured-latte-with-cream-and-extra-shot-espresso...seriously, everybody can do a long black...apart from that I really enjoy sitting at Starbucks (or any other café with internet access), blogging and watching people come and go...to each his own ;-)

My new favorite Autumn accessory: A tight loop scarf with big buttons - of course it's handmade!!!! But not by me (as I can't knit to save my life), the very talented Lena B. wipped this up in no time for me. Thanks again!

Photo Friday: 10-Cent-Kindermenü / 10-Cent-Children's-Menu

Okay, billiger geht nicht: 10 Cent für ein Kindermenü, das auch noch halbwegs gesund ist (naja, zumindest ist ein Apfel und ein Cranberry-Saft dabei). Solltet ihr in München wohnen, dann ab zu IKEA-Brunnthal, die feiern noch bis morgen 10-jähriges Jubiläum mit Hammerpreisen...unter anderem besagtes Kindermenü für 10 Cent! Da lohnt das Kochen ja nun wirklich nicht...

Okay, now that is cheap: 10 cent for a children's menu that is a little healthy as well (well, at least it comes with an apple and a cranberry juice). If you live in Munich, head over to IKEA-Brunnthal, they are celebrating their 10th anniversary till tomorrow with heaps of bargains...one of them the Children's menu for 10 Cent...you can't cook for that price....

Photo Friday: Der Herbst ist da / Autumn is here

Ein sicheres Zeichen dafür, dass der Sommer nun endgültig vorbei ist, ist die Tatsache, dass wieder mehr und mehr UGG Boots (und damit meine ich auch alle anderen Schuhe dieser Art) das Straßenbild  bestimmen...auch ich habe meine geliebten Boots schon aus dem Sommerschlaf geholt.

Ich liebe meine UGGs, sie sind warm, wasserdicht und vor allem soooo bequem. Allerdings kenne ich den ein oder anderen Mann, der diese Treter total abstoßend findet, aber darauf kann ich (und bestimmt auch die ein oder andere Frau) leider keine Rücksicht nehmen und die Männerwelt muss sich damit abfinden, dass diese Schuhe die nächsten 5 Monate wohl einfach dazu gehören ;-)

A sure sign that summer is over for good is the fact that more and more UGG boots (and I include every other boot of that kind by saying this) is seen on the street....my boots had their first outing today.

I just love my UGGs, they are warm, waterproof and soooo comfy. But I do know a few men who think they look horrible....well, too bad, I (and probably a lot of other women as well) can't help that, so guys: better prepare yourself for seeing heaps of UGG boots over the next 5 months.
